Client Product Specialist | Prudential Financial | Portland, ME

The incumbent is responsible to support the disability claim management team, account management team and sales team by handling client/claim related matters with a focus on customer satisfaction as an expert in the FLMA and Absence Management product lines.  Incumbent will interface with internal partners and external clients.  Leads efforts to develop new and revised processes/procedures/communications initiatives. Conducts research and analysis to identify business opportunities.  Incumbent will possess a strong background in the areas of compliance, and federal and state regulations as they apply to Absence Management and FMLA.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Absence Product Subject Matter Expert - 5+ yrs of experience; experience with Absence and FMLA
  • Experience and knowledge of both Federal and State regulations pertaining to absence
  • Experience and knowledge working with legal counsel
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with Account Management and clients during the implementation of service (new or add-issue)
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with Account Management to resolve customer issues
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with a claims organization
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with electronic eligibility files
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building and partnering skills
  • Experience with Visio, Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Job requires approximately 25-35% travel Other Requirements:
  • Team player with focus on customer service
  • Ability to work independently, and to deal with changing priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Ability to manage issues/problems from start to completion
  • Excellent organizational skills and high level of work discipline.
